A Day in the Life of a London Real Estate Agent | Behind the Scenes at CENTURY 21
The London real estate market never sleeps—and neither do the agents keeping up with it! I’m Lucia, an estate agent at CENTURY 21 London Central, and today I’m giving you an inside look into a typical (and slightly chaotic!) day in my life.
Spoiler: It involves coffee, countless steps, stylish but comfortable shoes, and a whole lot of client care.

☕ 8:00 AM: Coffee, Emails & Early Calls
While many are enjoying a quiet Sunday morning, I’m already at the office. A strong cup of coffee in hand, I kick off my day with early emails and client follow-ups. London’s property market is fast-moving—timing is everything.
Today’s first call? A follow-up with a potential tenant interested in a two-bedroom apartment at Principal Tower, one of the city’s most iconic developments.
👟 Comfort Is Non-Negotiable
As an estate agent, I average 10,000+ steps a day—all while navigating central London’s beautiful (but often car-unfriendly) streets. That’s why comfortable, stylish shoes are essential.
I swear by Cozy Island shoes. They’re not just trendy—they’re sustainable, cushioned, and supportive enough for a full day of viewings. Whether I’m in heels or boots, Cozy Island keeps me moving.

🏙️ 10:00 AM – Viewings Across Westminster
After finishing my emails, it’s time to head out. First stop: Regency Street. Then I make my way to King’s Gate Walk, arriving early (as always!) to prep the property – open blinds, switch on lights, and make everything feel welcoming.
As agents, we do much more than open doors. Creating a positive first impression is key, and little details matter.
🚇 1:00 PM – Off to the City (and a Quick Bite!)
After Westminster, I jump on the tube to reach my next viewing at Principal Tower in the City. Trust me – public transport is the fastest way around London.
The 33rd floor flat I’m showing has breathtaking views of the London skyline. From Canary Wharf to The Shard, it’s one of those homes that sells itself.
Before my next meeting, I stop at my favorite lunch spot for a quick bite. Even on busy days, it’s important to pause and recharge.
🖥️ 3:00 PM – Back to the Office for Admin & Negotiations
Most people think real estate is all about showing homes – but a huge part of the job happens behind the scenes.
Back at the office, I follow up with landlords, draft offers, and manage expectations on both sides of the deal. I also work on listing prep: staging, arranging professional photography, floorplans, virtual tours, and uploading everything to major property portals.
Oh – and I chase solicitors. A lot.
📲 Social Media & Marketing
One of the tools I rely on most is social media marketing. From Instagram to virtual video tours, we use modern platforms to give every property maximum exposure – including international buyers via the CENTURY 21 Global Network.
👠 5:30 PM – Wrapping Up (Still in Heels!)
By the end of the day, I’m ready to kick off my Cozy Island shoes—but honestly, they’ve kept me going through every viewing, every tube run, and every meeting.
If you’re thinking of becoming a real estate agent—or already are—comfortable, stylish shoes are a game-changer.
