All About La Mer DUBAI | TOP Public Beach in Dubai
La Mer Dubai Full Travel Guide
This was the first time I have visited Dubai. I didn’t know which public beach is the best. On the first day, we visited Jumeirah Beach right next to Burj Al Arab, and on the second day Kite Beach and La Mer Beach. For me, La Mer is the most beautiful free public beach in Dubai. La Mer is a French word and means the sea.
Urban Style With Industrial Twist
La Mer Beach Complex is inspired by pop art and modern urban style. Everything there is made with an industrial twist and attention to every single detail. All buildings are a blend of minimalist and contemporary design, decorated with pop art paintings and graffiti. The architecture is inspired by the rusted metal and tinted barrels that are the result of the sea washing up on timber. La Mer is a relatively recent addition to Dubai’s shoreline scene.
The whole complex is 1,24 million square meters including a waterpark. With rusty steel, barrels, and beat-up trucks placed around it gives the area a trendy industrial vibe. Even the toilets are so cool, all designed with an industrial twist.
La Mer Dubai Water Sports

If you looking for adventure visit the north beach for all the motorized activities like flyboarding, jet skiing, and wake surfing, or head to the south beach for all the non-motorized rental activities like a paddle, water bike, and kayaking. You can check out the latest price list of La Mer Dubai water sports here.
The Most Instagrammable Beach In Dubai

I really love the changing rooms and toilets, they are so colorful. Everything on La Mer beach is full of color. If you want to swim you have to bring your swimwear otherwise the lifeguard will ask you to leave. You are not allowed to swim in jeans or shorts. There are plenty of great spots for an Instagram photo. No chance to miss it. I would say this is the most Instagramable place in Dubai, make sure that you charge your phone and camera. You will need it.
Nitrogen Ice Cream & Pistachio Iced Coffee

Every single restaurant and coffee shop is special. I enjoyed the Nitrogen Ice Cream made by The Inventing Room. Basically, they are making fresh ice cream/coffee using liquid nitrogen which is -320’C. Once you eat it makes a dragon freezing breath.
My favorite place on the beach is Black Cab Coffee which offers the best pistachio iced coffee I have ever had. The whole coffee shop is open-air with a black cub in the middle, which is used as the coffee machine.
Sunbeds, Umbrellas & Day Room

Nothing beats a day at the beach. You can rent a Sunbed or Day Room and enjoy a beach day. La Mer has two Sea Breeze kiosks located at La Mer North and La Mer South. Sea Breeze’s price list: 1 Sunbed = AED 60 1 Sunbed Bundle = AED 100 (Inclusive of 1 sunbed, 1 umbrella, and 1 towel) 2 Sunbed Bundle = AED 180 (Inclusive of 2 sunbeds, 1 umbrella, and 2 towels) 1 Towel = AED 20 – Towels are rented against a refundable cash deposit of AED 50 that will be given back upon the return of the towel. Day Rooms = For a more relaxing day at the beach, pamper yourself at La Mer with one of our 4 exclusive Day Rooms. The fully air-conditioned private day rooms are offered from 8 am until Sunset and are inclusive of indoor seated furniture, a mini-fridge, a private terrace with chairs, x2 sunbeds, an umbrella, and towels for all guests. Day Rooms are available at AED 600 for 4 people, with an additional AED 100 per extra person (up to 6 people).
Plus! If you rent a Sunbed Bundle or a Day Room and receive a flat 20% discount across selected restaurants, cafés, and retail stores.
How To Get To La Mer Dubai?

Walking from the nearest Metro Station – It looks so close on the map but trust me it is quite far away. I have never tried this option but my friends in the hotel told me that it took them about 40 minutes to walk in the sun and this is not worth it.
Car -You can park in the destination’s underground parking in La Mer North or the outdoor parking on both sides.
Taxi – I think a taxi is the best way how to get here. You can take a taxi from your hotel which will cost you probably more or you can take Dubai Metro to get to the nearest Metro station – Financial Centre and then take a taxi from there. This is cheaper and the ride will cost you about 12 – 15 Dirhams. You need to be very careful with taxi drivers they would be very happy to take you around the whole of Dubai just to make extra money. It is better if you tell them exactly where to go because sometimes they can be very naughty.
