If you are coming to Dubai for sure you are thinking to visit Burj Khalifa. Is it worth it? Keep reading my blog to find out all you should know before you decide to go to Burj Khalifa, which ticket to choose, how much it cost, and finally, what is the experience like. I recommend you watch my vlog to see my authentic experience and breathtaking views.

General Information

Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the World holding many Guinness World Records:

  • Tallest skyscraper
  • World’s highest elevator installation,
  • World’s highest nightclub, restaurant, and many more.

Burj Khalifa is located as part of Dubai Mall at Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai Downtown. The easiest way how to get there is by Metro. The closest Metro Station is Dubai Mall. Right next to Burj Khalifa is Dubai Fountain.

Dubai Fountain

The Dubai Fountain is a choreographed fountain system located on Burj Khalifa Lake, right next to the famous Burj Khalifa. The cost of the fountain construction was 800 mil. AED = 218 mil. USD. The fountain is animated with performances set to light, music, and water. It is visible from every point on the lake promenade and from many neighboring structures as well as from Burj Khalifa. Performances take place at 1:00 pm and at 1:30 pm as well as every 30 minutes from 6 pm to 10 pm on weekdays, and from 6 pm to 11 pm on weekends (weekends being Thursday and Friday, and Saturday).

Which ticket to choose, how much does it cost?

There is a huge range of tickets you can purchase. The biggest difference is if you like to go to floor 148 or only 124 & 125 or even there is the luxury option The Lounge Burj Khalifa at 152/153 & 154. Then the price is changing if you are coming during the day, Sunset time, or evening. Obviously, the sunset time on floor 148 is the most and it costs only around £150 per person. However, you can watch the sunset from floor 125 for only around £33 per person. Day and night tickets are cheaper but then you see Dubai only by day or night. Sunset slots are the most favorite because you watch Dubai during the day, then you watch a gorgeous sunset and once it finishes you have the breathtaking night view and the second World’s largest fountain show which starts at 7 PM and repeats every 30 minutes.

The TOP is not always the TOP and there is usually an option to go Higher!

Our Experience

We purchased tickets for Sunset time slots at Levels 124 & 125. The price of the tickets was £33 per person. We arrived at the Burj Khalifa gate at 4:30 and it took us almost 30 minutes to get to Level 125. The lift was super fast.

The view is stunning! You see the whole of Dubai from a helicopter. Burj Khalifa is always busy and I felt there like an aquarium because it is really noisy there. When we arrived we noticed that people has already started to hold spots to watch the sunset – 30 minus in advance. We were lucky as we find a nice spot to watch the sunset.

The same was at the Dubai Fountain view, people were waiting for a spot to watch this stunning show. As I mentioned the Dubai Fountain starts at 6 PM. I recommend watching it from the deck at Level 124 as you can also hear the music.

I like the night view more as it’s really magical. The best thing about the sunset ticket is that you experience Dubai by Day, Sunset, and Night. I was surprised that prices in View Coffee at Level 124 were normal. It was the only thing in Burj Khalifa which was not overpriced.

Once we left Burj Khalifa we enjoyed watching Dubai Fountain from downstairs. It’s an unforgettable show and every slot is a different song. You can even purchase a boat trip at Burj Khalifa Lake to watch this show from close.
