Are you planning to stay in Gevora Hotel in Dubai – the tallest hotel in the world? If yes, you must read this review to find out all about this stunning place. My boyfriend and I stayed in Gevora Hotel for 10 nights and we tried there almost everything. We booked our stay via Expedia.com, we paid £1560 for both of us including:
- Emirates Airline return flights from London – Dubai
- 10 nights at Gevora Hotel
- breakfast buffet included
Check my vlog to watch the whole hotel review.
The hotel is situated along Sheikh Zayed Road in the Trade Center area, just a few minutes away from the airport and 1 stop away from Burj Khalifa Dubai Mall. Right next to Gevora Hotel is the Financial Centre metro station. Gevora Hotel is s four-star hotel which is 356 meters tall. According to Guinness World Records, the Gevora Hotel skyscraper got the title of the tallest hotel building in the World. The Guinness World Records plaque is displayed in the lobby. The hotel has 528 rooms.
We entered the hotel by the lobby which is decorated using marble and gold-colored elements. There was playing a live pianist a lovely white piano when we arrived the first evening. A coffee shop called Le Veyron Café is just next to the lobby with the most Instagamable staircase where most of the guests are taking photos.
Our Rooms
The hotel reception was very friendly and we were upgraded from a studio to 1 bad apartment on the 33rd floor for the first night. Our dream was to stay on a higher floor, the receptionist was very friendly and told us to try the next day if there is any chance to move higher. The next day we were moved to the most stunning room we had ever been – on the 68th floor.
This is the 1 bad apartment we stayed in the first night on the 33rd floor.
This is our studio apartment we stayed on the 68th floor.
As you can see the rooms are stunning, gorgeous huge super king-size bed, fully integrated kitchen, TV, and all you need to spend a great time. The room was cleaned every day and our water, coffee, tea, shampoo, and soaps were refilled daily. Honestly, huge thanks to the lovely housekeeping team.
Swimming Pool & The 12th Floor
On Instagram, you will notice that everyone is taking pictures on Skywalk and next to the pool. This is one of the main Instagram spots in Dubai. The skywalk – the bridge is connecting the hotel with the pool area, gyms, and pool lobby. Candles in beautiful candle holders are lit every evening. I love it!
The pool is 25 m long and there is also a small kids pool and hot tub. As you could see in my vlog tables are around the pool. We had never had a problem finding a table during the evening, they are doing tasty shisha – starting from AED 80, mocktails, and food. We always ordered pizza, it was really tasty. The pool staff was very friendly and attentive. We experienced high demand for the sunbeds and the tables during the day. However, the hotel staff did a great job in keeping the waiting list and accommodating the sunbeds as fast as they could.
The Highest View Lounge
The Highest View Lounge opens every day from 05.00 pm to 2.00 am. Just to let you know the minimum spend is 100 dirhams per person. This was the most unique dinner we had during our holiday in Dubai. The view is stunning. It’s such an experience to have dinner in the World’s highest open-air rooftop hotel restaurant. The service was very friendly and attentive. Definitely, I recommend you to visit this place.
Journey at the highest restaurant in the Middle East situated 280m from the ground with 360-degree views of the Dubai skyline. The restaurant offers unparalleled 360-degree views over the entire city where you can see some of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks such as Burj Khalifa and the Royal Palaces while savoring premium meats and seafood as well as try a multitude of creatively hand-crafted mocktails including our signature Highest View Mocktail along with a wide range of signature Shishas.
The Closest & Best Beach
The closest and the best public beach is La Mer which is situated just a few minutes from the hotel. The easiest way how to get there is to cross Sheikh Zayed Road by the Financial Centre metro station and take a taxi. It costs only AED 12-15 = around £3. You can also take a taxi in front of the hotel but the taxi will have to go all the way around and you will pay around AED 40 = £8.
